FAQ's
My company is too small for your service.
On the contrary, many of my clients employ 2-15 people. The smaller the company, the more cost effective and efficient it is to outsource the service. Once you analyze on a monthly basis the cost of the shredder, the maintenance of the shredder, the time spent by you or an employee that could otherwise be spent handling more productive tasks, plus the wage paid to your employee, you will find you are wasting precious hours and dollars.
What if your truck breaks down?
We send our mechanic out for a service call, and/or send another truck to pick up your documents. Sometimes issues arise that are out of our control. What helps set us apart from our competition is our ability to 'shift on the fly', and adapt to situations so that we may provide a quality of service above your expectations.
How do I know you are destroying my files/records?
We are willing to videotape any destruction. We can also offer testimonials from our clients, and site tours are always welcome. Our business is offering compliance and protection from identity theft, not causing it. Once destroyed, we issue you a Certificate of Destruction for your records. This document provides a paper trail of proof that you properly destroyed the information.
Do we have to buy the consoles for monthly service?
No. We provide the console at no cost to you.
Why can't I just burn them?
You can, but you will then have no proof that the information was properly destroyed. Consistency and documentation are key components to a healthy records management programs ability to withstand legal scrutiny.
I have to save files for 7 years.
In order to be compliant, yes. Once that 7 year mark has been reached, it is wise to purge those files. The fact you have been saving these files for the required period of time should not be taken lightly. The final piece to the compliance puzzle is proper disposal. You have stored these files because you have been required to, and you would be remiss if you chose to just throw them in the garbage exposing the information to anybody walking by.
